Booking Cares Manager
Marianne Gybels joined Booking.com in March 2014 to lead the company’s corporate social responsibility programme, Booking Cares, as well as to nurture the company’s unique culture of diversity, inclusion and innovation. In this role, Marianne oversees all global efforts focused on creating social value through initiatives like the Booking Cares Volunteer Programme which sees employees partner with local NGOs on projects that help improve destinations worldwide.
In 2017, Marianne led development of the Booking.com Booster Programme, an accelerator programme created to identify, mentor and fund promising startups dedicated to sustainable tourism, which saw over 700 applications in its first year.
Prior to joining Booking.com, she worked for a startup on crowdfunding and crowdsourcing to realise the power of social enterprises.
