Simon is an ‘out of the box’ thinker who enjoys challenging the status quo. He leads Amadeus' Corporate Strategy and Business Development team in Asia Pacific.
Simon's role is to identify new business opportunities and partnerships for Amadeus in the region, with a focus on distribution and new business lines such as payments, travel intelligence, and rail. He also heads up Amadeus Next (www.next.amadeus.com), a programme to nurture, mentor and partner with travel startups to create the leading APAC travel tech startup community.
Prior to joining the Amadeus Asia Pacific management team in 2005, based in Bangkok, Simon lived and worked in Nice, France. Beginning his career with Amadeus France in 1992, Simon worked in various roles within Finance and Management Accounting. After eight years, he left to create his own business focused on Management Consultancy and Private Equity in the IT & Telecom sector. It was this consultancy role that eventually led him back to Amadeus a few years later.
Simon holds a BA Honours degree in International Business, he speaks fluent French and his hobbies include surfing and motorbike touring.
